Good Morning Warrior!
Word for the Day:
“What We Do Shows Who We Are”
Text: Leviticus 21:6
“They shall be holy to their God and not profane the name of their God, for they offer the offerings of the LORD made by fire, and the bread of their God; therefore they shall be holy.”
The Principal that “What We Do Shows Who We Are,” is on our menu for Breakfast this morning.
In other words, “What we Do is the result of Who We Are.”
God Made the priests Holy as a type of Jesus Christ when He chose them, but they were expected to Be Holy, an Example to Israel, by what they did, presenting “the offerings made by fire and the bread of God.”
The priest’s conduct of holiness was to reflect who God made them to be: Holy into the Lord. Unfortunately, the conduct of the priests rarely reflected who God made them to be; and this Disobedience dishonored God and the priesthood, and led Israel back into bondage.
God Made you and I Holy to Himself, when we surrendered our life to Him. He conquered you and I with His Love and He made us to be priests to Him and an example to others as His Holy People.
With this Privilege of ‘being made holy by God, He also gave us the Responsibility of Behaving holy in our conduct the way He created us to be as “His New Creation in Christ Jesus.”(2Corin.5:17).
God’s work of making us holy was Immediate at Salvation; but our work of Behaving Holy in our Conduct is not immediate, it’s a process that takes a lifetime on earth!
“For by one offering He has perfected forever those who are being sanctified.”(Heb.10:14).
You and I are “being sanctified”and “being changed”:
“But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.” (2Corin.3:18).
Our Work is to Rest and Depend upon His finished work on the Cross and Holy Spirit’s continual work in us:
“There remains therefore a rest for the people of God.
For he who has entered His rest has himself also ceased from his works as God did from His.” (Heb.4:9-10).
Holy Spirit works in our surrendered heart empowering us to Desire and to Do what pleases God (Phil.2:13); To Behave Holy the Way He Made You and I to Be.
Be encouraged Warrior and be
“....confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ;” (Phil.1:6).
You and I were Made Holy to Be Holy by the Power of Holy Spirit working in our surrendered heart of Love for our King! Ooooh Rah!
Warrior at your side,
