Good Morning Warrior!
Word for the Day:
“The Warrior’s Daily Cleansing”
Text: Exodus 30:18-19
“You shall also make a laver of bronze, with its base also of bronze, for washing. You shall put it between the tabernacle of meeting and the altar. And you shall put water in it,
for Aaron and his sons shall wash their hands and their feet in water from it.”
“The Warrior’s Daily Cleansing,” is on our menu for Breakfast this morning.
Aaron and his sons were to cleanse themselves daily from the water in this highly polished bronze Laver. The Laver was placed between the Tabernacle of Meeting and the Altar. The priests went from the tabernacle of meeting to the Laver to cleanse their hands and feet Before they approached the Altar. Their service was at least twice each day for the morning and evening sacrifice, so they cleansed themselves Daily.
The highly polished bronze made the Laver like a mirror that the women used in (Exod.38:8), so when they washed they saw themselves and reflected on the condition of their heart. They purified their heart, ceremonially, by the washing of water that was in the Laver - Before they offered the sacrifice to God.
The Warrior’s Daily Cleansing takes place this way also.
Our Commander Jesus Christ is both our Laver and the Living Water in the Laver:
“Jesus answered and said to her, “If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, ‘Give Me a drink,’ you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water.” (John 4:10)
Every day for Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner we cleanse ourself from the dirt of this world, as we sit at our Commander’s feet. He sanctifies and cleanses you and I as His Church “with the washing of the water by the Word.” (Eph.5:26).
When Jesus washed the disciples feet He told them:
“..... If I do not wash you, you have no part with Me.” (John 13:8).
And He did this to show us How To Love and How To Serve:
“So when He had washed their feet, taken His garments, and sat down again, He said to them, “Do you know what I have done to you?
You call Me Teacher and Lord, and you say well, for so I am.
If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet.
For I have given you an example, that you should do as I have done to you.” (John 13:12-15)
This Truth so deeply humbles you and I, and washes off any pride, or selfishness from us; when we consider that Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior washes our feet as we wash ourselves with His Word. This is what Love does!
This is the Warrior’s Daily Cleansing Before we approach the Altar and present our Life as a living sacrifice unto God.
The Warrior’s Daily Cleansing Prepares you and I for service to Our Commander Jesus Christ and to mankind. Ooooh Rah!
Warrior at your side,
