Good Morning Warrior!
Hallelujah, It’s The Lord’s Day!
Word for the Day:
“Seeing As God Sees”
Text: Nehemiah 6:1-2
“Now it happened when Sanballat, Tobiah, Geshem the Arab, and the rest of our enemies heard that I had rebuilt the wall, and that there were no breaks left in it (though at that time I had not hung the doors in the gates),
that Sanballat and Geshem sent to me, saying, “Come, let us meet together among the villages in the plain of Ono.” But they thought to do me harm.”
The Grace and Gift of “Seeing As God Sees,” is on our menu for Breakfast this morning.
The Bible calls this “Discernment.” (1Corin.12:10).
This is what enabled Nehemiah to See as God Sees and know that Sanballat and Tobia “thought to do him harm.”
Warriors today can suffer sometimes because of a lack of discernment; following teachers who “appear good,” but are not walking in the nature of Jesus our Commander and King.
So, how can we develop discernment?
First, if you want to see things as God sees them, we need to know His Word by meeting with Him daily for Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner.
Second, discernment comes through spiritual maturity and experience. Hebrews 5:12-14 says that discernment is something spiritual babies don’t have. My granddaughter Zarah used to stick anything in her mouth, but now she learned that only food goes in the mouth.
Third, discernment can be given as a gift from the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 12:10). So this is why you and I Seek Him for it, and USE It in our life every day.
Finally, by Seeing As God Sees we will learn how to Love God Supremely and how to Love others as God Loves Them.
“So he answered and said, “ ‘You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind,’ and your neighbor as yourself.’ ” (Luke 19:27). Ooooh Rah!
Warrior at your side,
Jesus and Billy
