Good Morning Warrior!
Word for the Day:
(1 Kings 12:25 - 13:32)
“The Snare of the Fear of Man”
Text: 1 Kings 12:26-27
“And Jeroboam said in his heart, “Now the kingdom may return to the house of David:
If these people go up to offer sacrifices in the house of the LORD at Jerusalem, then the heart of this people will turn back to their lord, Rehoboam king of Judah, and they will kill me and go back to Rehoboam king of Judah.”
“The Snare of the Fear of Man,” is on our menu for Breakfast this morning.
God had given Jeroboam a wonderful promise to rule and reign over Israel IF Jeroboam feared God and walked in obedience to God as King David did.(1Kings 11:38).
However Jeroboam chose to fear man instead, being captured by the fear of what Israel could do to him, say about him, or think about him. This fear of man drove him to “do what he knew he should not do!” His fear of man was “Moral Cowardice,” and that led him deeper in sin, and Israel deeper into idolatry.
Listen up Warrior! The Bible tells us:
“The fear of man brings a snare,
But whoever trusts in the LORD shall be safe.”(Prov.29:25)
You and I walk in the Presence and Power of Almighty God!
Don’t Forget This!
You and I LIVE in the Palm of His Hand At All Times! No devil in hell or spirit of wickedness can take you or I out of His Hand! Jesus Himself said:
“And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand.
My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand.
I and My Father are one.”(John 10:28-30).
Listen up Warrior! You and I Walk in the Presence, Power, and Promises of our Commander and King Jesus Christ! We Fear God and We Fear No Man! Oooooh Rah!
Hear some more of what our Commander says to us this morning,
“And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.”(Matt.10:28)
“For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words in this adulterous and sinful generation, of him the Son of Man also will be ashamed when He comes in the glory of His Father with the holy angels.”(Mark 8:38).
And He speaks to you and I through Isaiah saying:
“I, even I, am He who comforts you.
Who are you that you should be afraid
Of a man who will die,
And of the son of a man who will be made like grass?”(Isaiah 51:12).
The Snare of the Fear of Man is dissolved by the Warrior’s Fear of God. WE LIVE AND WALK IN THE HAND OF ALMIGHTY GOD! Oooooh Rah!
Warrior at your side,
Jesus and Billy
