Good Morning Warrior!
Word for the Day:
(2Chron. 5:1 - 6:11)
“A Place for God to Dwell Forever”
“I have surely built You an exalted house,
And a place for You to dwell in forever.”
“A Place for God to Dwell Forever,” is on our menu for Breakfast this morning.
The Glory of Solomon’s Temple for God was not in the splendor of the beautiful building, it was the Presence of God, represented by the Ark of the Covenant. This Ark of the Covenant was A Place for God to Dwell Forever.
King David and Solomon were the instruments of God’s hands that prepared the materials and built the Temple - God working together with them and through them.
Today we have God’s Dwelling Place in the Ark of the New Testament Covenant in our Heart by Faith
“For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the LORD: I will put My laws in their mind and write them on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.” (Heb.8:10).
When we asked God to come into our heart He came and wrote His New Testament Covenant upon our Heart.
Our Heart is where the Glory of our Temple is.
Our Body is God’s Temple:
“Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?
For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.” (1Corin.6:19).
Lastly, our building materials are Faith, Hope, and Love described in 1 Corin.13:1-13. Our Helper Holy Spirit works in us and through us in this construction project that lasts for a lifetime on earth:
“Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling;
for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.” (Phil.2:12-13).
Like any building project we must “Obey, and Follow the Instructions of the Plan.”
And because we Love Our Commander and King, Obedience is not a problem. Together, we Build A Place for God to Dwell Forever, our Heart.
“For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”(Matt.6:21).
Warrior at your side,
