Good Morning Warrior!
Word for the Day:
"A Tale of Two Son's"
"Now Adam knew Eve his wife, and she conceived and bore Cain, and said, “I have acquired a man from the Lord.”
We find a Tale of Two Son's for Breakfast this morning. Hidden in their name was their desire. Cain, meaning "acquire" or "possess;" desired to possess everything by his own strength, like his father and mother desired the Tree of Life more than God.
And Abel, meaning "breath, or "nothing;" desiring to know God and worship Him, depending upon Him rather than himself.
We learn from this first murder in the Bible the Truth that you produce what you are. We produce "....each according to our kind."
Adam and Eve produced Cain because they desired to possess everything from their own strength rather than God. When Abel was born he was not desired but considered as nothing, like breath; because this is the way Adam and Eve treated God when they chose to disobey and take "possess" the forbidden fruit.
This spiritual "tug of war," is the war of Good and evil that has passed from Adam and Eve to the "seed" of humanity. But, there was another Seed in the Garden waiting patiently, for the fullness of time to arrive when He would create a New Mankind; born from The blood of His death on the Cross, as Son of Man and Son of God. Abel and his death was a type of our Commander and King.
Our King was despised and rejected by all men, a Man of sorrows, bearing our sins and suffering (Isa.52:13-53:12).
Our lesson from this Tale of Two Sons, is to Know and Grow in the ways of our King (2Pet.3:18). This is what Abel did and this is what the Warrior does.
The Warrior's life comes from the Vine and causes them to grow through the trials of life, and triumph over sin. We pass on from our life to our seed "What we are, How we have lived, and How We have Conquered; through the Life of our King and Commander Jesus Christ! Ooooh Rah
Warrior at your side,
