Good Morning Warrior!
Word for the Day:
“A Time To Be Silent”
Text: 2Kings 18:36
“But the people held their peace and answered him not a word; for the king’s commandment was, “Do not answer him.”
There is “A Time To Be Silent,” and that’s what’s on our menu for Breakfast this morning. The time to be silent is when our Commander says “Do Not Answer him.”
Before this Commanding General of Assyria began talking trash about our Commander - Hezekiah gave the Command “Do Not Answer him.”
Hezekiah knew the enemies strategy of intimidation and provoking debate and arguments.
Oh what great discipline it takes, to be silent when the enemy blasphemes our King! But because we love and honor our King we Obey Him and do not answer the enemy’s trash talking lies!
The Warrior does not argue or debate. The Warrior declares the Word of God with their Mouth and their Life! Ooooh Rah! And when the boasters and mockers rise up to intimidate and provoke arguments, the Warrior does not answer them.
Let your Declaration of God’s Word Answer the mockers.
When this happens, your King says “Do not answer them.” Don’t cast your pearls of God’s precious Word before these mockers who have decided not to hear.
“Do not give what is holy to the dogs; nor cast your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you in pieces.”(Matt.7:6).
There is a time to speak and a time to be silent. In your silence, Let the Word of God that you have spoken and the godly life you live “Be your response of the unbeliever’s boasting and mocking. Let your Life of godliness be your Protest against evil! Oooh Rah!
Warrior at your side,
