Good Morning Warrior!
Word for the Day:
“An Offering Made By Fire”
Text: Leviticus 2:16
“Then the priest shall burn the memorial portion: part of its beaten grain and part of its oil, with all the frankincense, as an offering made by fire to the LORD.”
“An Offering Made By Fire,” is on our menu for Breakfast this morning.
The Grain offering was a Thanksgiving Offering for God’s Provision of Grain.
This offering, like the First Fruits Offering, was “a memorial,” to remind you and I of our Relationship with God.
God called this “an offering made by fire to the LORD.”
This offering pointed to the Service of Yeshua to you and I as the Bread of Life, (John 6:32-35), free of the leaven of corruption, anointed with the oil of Holy Spirit, and the frankincense of Obedience; and seasoned with the purity and preservation of Salt. His Service was captured in this verse:
“For by one offering He has perfected forever those who are being sanctified.” (Heb.10:14).
Our Commander was “an offering made by fire to the LORD.”
As Son of Man, Jesus is our Model of Servant Leadership. As Jesus Served His Father, and You and I - so we must Serve Jesus and our fellow man:
“So he answered and said, “ ‘You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind,’ and your neighbor as yourself.’ ” (Luke 10:27).
Our Grain Offering of Service to God first and then to others, should always be in the Presence and Under the Influence of our Helper Holy Spirit; “... Who works in you both to Will and To Do of His Good Pleasure”(Phil.2:13).
Let us be grateful to God for His Extravagant Provision:
“He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? (Rom.8:32)
“Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord,
as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue,” (2Peter 1:2-3)
Our Life of Service should be “an offering made by fire to the LORD,” First, and then to Others. Ooooh Rah!
Warrior at your side,
