Good Morning Warrior!
It’s The Lord’s Day, Hallelujah!
Word for the Day:
“Appointed Times For Fellowship”
Text: Numbers 28:2
“Command the children of Israel, and say to them, ‘My offering, My food for My offerings made by fire as a sweet aroma to Me, you shall be careful to offer to Me at their appointed time.’”
“Appointed Times For Fellowship,” is on our menu for Breakfast this morning.
God’s “Appointed Times For Fellowship” with Israel were every morning and evening every day, and throughout each year on the Sabbath each week, and on the feasts each year. These “appointed times” are rehearsed by Moses again for this new generation that has survived the wilderness journey to Canaan. Their father’s generation has all died from the curse of rebelling against God (Num.14:29; 26:64); and this new generation needed to hear these appointed times again.
The Daily Burnt Offerings and sin offerings were a reminder of the Atonement God would provide with Messiah, and the drink offerings and grain offerings provided “God’s Food” for the offerings, which was eaten by the people and God in fellowship with each other - Because of the Atonement.
Warriors are given God’s Appointed Times for Fellowship also. Every morning, noon, and evening we meet with God for Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner. We remember the perfect burnt offering and sin offering that our Commander Jesus provided for you and I, and eat “the Bread of Life” and “the Drink Offering He provided with His blood shed on the cross (John 6:48, 53).
Our feast of Holy Communion is celebrated often, remembering the body and blood of Jesus Christ that was given for our Atonement.
We need these “appointed times” every day to “stay the course” of our journey through the wilderness of this world to our home in heaven.
It is at these appointed times that we leave the chaos and drama of this world and find our place of rest and refreshment with our Commander, eating His Word, hearing His Wisdom, and enjoying His Presence.
Without these “God appointed times” we can easily be drawn into the vacuum of this world’s fear, doubt, and unbelief; and become just like our spiritual enemy. This is what happened to Israel and this is what can happen to you and I if we fail to keep our Dates with Jesus every day.
The Mighty Warrior King David reminds you and I again:
“Evening and morning and at noon
I will pray, and cry aloud,
And He shall hear my voice.”(Psa.55:17).
Aaaah Yes, the Righteous Warrior Looks Forward to these Appointed Times For Fellowship With God! Ooooh Rah!
