Good Morning Warrior!
Word for the Day:
"Atonement Brings Fellowship"
Text: Numbers 29:39
"These you shall present to the LORD at your appointed feasts (besides your vowed offerings and your freewill offerings) as your burnt offerings and your grain offerings, as your drink offerings and your peace offerings.’ ”
"Atonement Brings Fellowship" is on our menu for Breakfast this morning.
Israel is at the border of the Promised Land and God reminds them of their need for Atonement to Bring Fellowship with God; in order to possess their Promised Land.
Promise Land People need to Remember and Rehearse their need for a Sacrificial Atonement in order to have Fellowship with God.
The Trumpets sounded on the first day of the 7th month to remind the people to begin preparing for the next 14 days for the Day of Atonement on the 15th day. This preparation was to afflict their souls with grief, sorrow, and humility for their sin.
This Day of Atonement was a National Day of Repentance.
The continual burnt offerings, morning and evening every day was for the individual, the annual Day of Atonement was for the nation.
Today we don’t have a ceremony we have a daily lifestyle!
The Supreme act of Love that Jesus gave Himself as our complete Atonement for sin compels you and to imitate His perfect sacrifice with the living sacrifice of our surrendered life. In other words, “we love Him because He first loved us.”(1John 4:19).
The Warrior is permanently marked by God’s Love and this causes you and I to rehearse and remember that the privilege of Fellowship with our Commander Jesus Christ had nothing to do with us - it had everything to do with Him! He is and always will be our Peacemaker with God:
“For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation,
having abolished in His flesh the enmity, that is, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, so as to create in Himself one new man from the two, thus making peace,
and that He might reconcile them both to God in one body through the cross, thereby putting to death the enmity.”(Eph2:14-16).
Holy Spirit sounds the Trumpet in our heart continually reminding us of our need for our Peacemaker that brought Fellowship with God forever. That’s why the Warrior brings the continual burnt offerings of Love. Praise, Worship, and Devotion to our Commander and King.
Oh Hallelujah! Let’s sing with King David the mighty Warrior of God:
“I will bless the LORD at all times;
His praise shall continually be in my mouth.
My soul shall make its boast in the LORD;
The humble shall hear of it and be glad.
Oh, magnify the LORD with me,
And let us exalt His name together.
I sought the LORD, and He heard me,
And delivered me from all my fears.”(Psa.34:1-4) Hallelujah!
“We bring the sacrifice of praise
into the house of the Lord,
We bring the sacrifice of praise
Into the house of the Lord.
And we offer up to You
the sacrifices of thanksgiving,
And we offer up to You
The sacrifices of praise!”
Atonement Brings Fellowship! Oooh Rah!
Warrior at your side,
