Good Morning Warrior!
Word for the Day:
(Exodus 11:1 - 12:20)
“Blood on the Door”
Text: Exodus 12:7
“And they shall take some of the blood and put it on the two doorposts and on the lintel of the houses where they eat it.”
“Blood on the Door,” is on our menu for Breakfast this morning.
This last Judgement was announced first in Exod.4:22-23, and executed last to show the measured judgement of nine plagues on Egypt and her false gods. These plagues were designed to display God’s Supreme Power over nature and Egypt’s false gods; and bring the Egyptians to repentance.
Moses is instructed on the new calendar for Israel beginning with this release from bondage. On the fourteenth day the feast of Passover will be held for seven days, each year, To Remember This Day of Freedom! The central part of this feast was the Passover Lamb.
The death of the Passover Lamb, pictured the crucifixion of Jesus Christ, Who Is our Passover Lamb:
“Therefore purge out the old leaven, that you may be a new lump, since you truly are unleavened. For indeed Christ, our Passover, was sacrificed for us.” (1Corin.5:7).
Jesus said “I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture.”(John 10:9).
The Blood on the “Door,” top lintel and the two door posts formed the outline of the cross where our LORD was crucified.
We enter Salvation and Restoration to God through the Door of Jesus Christ; and we “feed on Him,” and His Word daily for Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner.
To enter this Door we will always see His Blood on the Door reminding you and I the price He paid for our release from the Bondage of sin.
His death purchased our Life!
We celebrate Passover not once a year, but every day, as we “enter the Door, and Feed on His Word.”
See the Blood on the Door as you walk with your Commander today! Ooooh Rah!
Warrior at your side,
