Good Morning Warrior!
Word for the Day:
(2 Chron.21 & 22)
“Bound in the Bundle of the Living"
Text: 2Chron. 22:10-12
“Now when Athaliah the mother of Ahaziah saw that her son was dead, she arose and destroyed all the royal heirs of the house of Judah.
But Jehoshabeath, the daughter of the king, took Joash the son of Ahaziah, and stole him away from among the king’s sons who were being murdered, and put him and his nurse in a bedroom. So Jehoshabeath, the daughter of King Jehoram, the wife of Jehoiada the priest (for she was the sister of Ahaziah), hid him from Athaliah so that she did not kill him.
And he was hidden with them in the house of God for six years, while Athaliah reigned over the land.”
A life given to God is a life that is: “Bound in the Bundle of the Living;” that’s what’s on our menu for Breakfast this morning.
Joash, the sole surviving son of King David’s house; was “Bound in the Bundle of the Living.”
When King David was marked for death by Saul, Abigail spoke these words to King David in 1 Sam.25:29:
“Yet a man has risen to pursue you and seek your life, but the life of my lord shall be bound in the bundle of the living with the LORD your God; and the lives of your enemies He shall sling out, as from the pocket of a sling.”
God’s Promised Messiah was to come from King David’s lineage and Joash was the sole surviving son. Yes, hell had a plan to destroy this life through this wicked Queen Athaliah - but God had a plan to save this life through a righteous woman Jehosheba; because this infant Joash was a life Bound in the Bundle of the Living.
