Good Morning Warrior!
Word for the Day:
“Breathing The Breath of God”
Text: Gen. 2:7
“And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.”
“Breathing The Breath of God,” is on our menu for Breakfast this morning.
God “breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and man became a living being.” Oh Wow! You and I, and all mankind today, are Breathing The Breath of God - every time we take a breath. Every day we fill our lungs with about 2,400 gallons of air, “of God’s Breath!
This is what Adam did and this is what we do instinctively every day, from our first breath to our last breath on earth.
With this Gift of Life as a living being, like Adam, we too have a choice to make; to Live for God Who gave us the Breath we breathe -
Or to Live for the Pleasures of this World.
The Tree of Life represented the Eternal Life of God, and
The Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil represented The Pleasures of this world.
By eating from the Tree of Life Adam was completely innocent, satisfied, and enjoying the fullness of God’s Presence and His Creation. He was naked and not ashamed because he was innocent and lacked nothing!
When he chose to be silent when the devil was deceiving Eve, he joined her and ate the forbidden fruit from the forbidden tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. And so sin and death entered the world, spoiling God’s Perfect Creation of the heavens, the earth, and mankind....
But that’s not the end of the story, as we will see tomorrow. Because God already had a Plan and a Seed ready for this disaster!
So what are you and I doing with God’s Breath that we are breathing every day?
The Warrior chooses to Live for their Commander and King Jesus Christ. Our Vine, the Tree of Life in the Garden. The Warrior is a Branch completely satisfied by abiding and living in the Vine. (John 15:1-8).
Living Only for God or
Living Only for the pleasures of this world.
Living for God satisfies us completely with His presence and provision, and Eternal Life with God; as Peter says:
“Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord,
as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue,
by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.” (2Peter 1:2-4).
Living for the pleasures of this world Never satisfies us completely and leads us to death and eternal separation from God.
We Breathe the Breath of God and We Live Our Life For God Alone. We Are His Warrior! Ooooh Rah!
Warrior at your side,
