Good Morning Warrior!
Word for the Day:
Text: Judges 8:23
“But Gideon said to them, “I will not rule over you, nor shall my son rule over you; the LORD shall rule over you.”
“Broken Again,” is on the menu for Breakfast this morning. When I think of Gideon’s story I see God’s Glory - that Breaks Us of Pride in our self. In our text Gideon speaks from a broken heart humbled by what God has done, when He says: “the Lord shall rule over you.” In his zeal he makes an idol, instead of an altar, to remember and rehearse what God has done. This became a snare for Gideon and Israel. Yet, I don’t want us to miss the lesson of Broken Again in this story of Gideon.
The Warrior Knows there would not have been a Breakthrough against 135,000 Midianites by these 300 Warriors UNLESS the Master of Breakthroughs had gone before Gideon, as He did for King David (2Sam.5:20) Your Commander Will Breakthrough your enemies also my fellow Warrior!
The Warrior Knows there would not have been strength to continue the fight in their exhaustion and weariness UNLESS God Was Their Strength, as He was for Israel at the Red Sea (Exod.15:2).
Your Commander’s Strength is Perfect when your strength is Gone. Sing this song:
“Your Strength is Perfect when my strength is gone,
You carry me when I can’t carry on,
Raised in Your power the weak become strong.
Your Strength is Perfect,
Your Strength is Perfect.”
With every Victory, every Deliverance, every Forgiveness; God Breaks Us Again with His Grace and Mercy, keeping our s humble. This is how He helps us to do what He requires us to do:
“He has shown you, O man, what is good;
And what does the LORD require of you
But to do justly,
To love mercy,
And to walk humbly with your God?” (Micah 6:8)
Listen up Warrior! Walk humbly with your Commander as He continues to Break You Again with His Grace and Mercy! Ooooh Rah!
Warrior at your side,
