Good Morning Warrior!
Word for the Day:
“Building God’s Temple”
Text: Ezra 5:3
“At the same time Tattenai the governor of the region beyond the River and Shethar-Boznai and their companions came to them and spoke thus to them: “Who has commanded you to build this temple and finish this wall?”
“Building God’s Temple,” is on our menu for Breakfast this morning.
Tattenai the Governor and his companions come to intimidate the people of God, hoping to stop them from building the Temple of God. This strategy of intimidation and accusation in nothing new for our spiritual enemy. The devil is named the accuser of the brethren! This liar accuses us of our past sins, that God has cleansed us from when we confessed and repented of them (1John 1:9).
Haggai and Zechariah gave Tattenai a history lesson on lawlessness, judgement, repentance, and obedience! Israel’s lawlessness against God,
God’s judgement for their lawlessness,
Israel’s repentance and God’s mercy in forgiveness, and lastly
Israel’s Obedience to God’s command, through King Cyrus to Build the Temple of God.
Wow! What a clear picture this is of our life as a Righteous Warrior of God! We are building a Temple for God with our Life!
“Coming to Him as to a living stone, rejected indeed by men, but chosen by God and precious,
you also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.”(1Peter 2:4-5).
Our Commander Jesus told us that there would be opposition so we’re prepared for opposition! (John 16:33). That’s why we’re Warriors! We are always prepared for the fight for righteousness! Oooooh Rah!
We have a reason for building a Temple for God; our Love for Him and our Obedience to Him!
Peter writes it this way:
“And who is he who will harm you if you become followers of what is good?
But even if you should suffer for righteousness’ sake, you are blessed. “And do not be afraid of their threats, nor be troubled.”
“But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear;
having a good conscience, that when they defame you as evildoers, those who revile your good conduct in Christ may be ashamed.” (1Pet.3:13-16).
Listen up Warrior! Your Life is a Living Stone in God’s Temple! Keep building Love, Faith, and Trust day by day as you Walk in Obedience to your Commander and King Jesus Christ! Don’t miss a single Date with Jesus; for Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner! You are Building God’s Temple every day! Ooooh Rah!
Warrior at your side,
