Good Morning Warrior!
Word for the Day:
“Building The Wall TOGETHER”
Text: Nehemiah 3:1-2
“Then Eliashib the high priest rose up with his brethren the priests and built the Sheep Gate; they consecrated it and hung its doors. They built as far as the Tower of the Hundred, and consecrated it, then as far as the Tower of Hananel.
Next to Eliashib the men of Jericho built. And next to them Zaccur the son of Imri built.”
“Building The Wall TOGETHER,” is on our menu for Breakfast this morning.
The high priest Eliashib rose up and built the Sheep Gate first, then others built next to each other with the same passion and mind TOGETHER, except for the elders of Tekoa (v.4).
Each family had the responsibility to build a portion of the wall; and when finished their portion they helped each other. The Tekoites even built two separate portions of the wall (v.5 and 27).
As I read this chapter of Rebuilding the Wall of Jerusalem I thought of you and I as Warriors of God “building the wall of our life individually, together with God - and also building the wall of the kingdom of God together with each other.
The Bible says you and I are “living stones built up into a spiritual house:
“Coming to Him as to a living stone, rejected indeed by men, but chosen by God and precious,
you also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.” (1Pet.2:4-5).
and as the Body of Christ we are each “members of the same Body together:”
“For as the body is one and has many members, but all the members of that one body, being many, are one body, so also is Christ.
For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free—and have all been made to drink into one Spirit.
For in fact the body is not one member but many.”(1Corin.12:12-14).
So you and I as Warriors and “living stones,” have a responsibility to build a wall of righteousness around our life TOGETHER With Holy Spirit; by Loving God Supremely, Obeying Him as our Commander and High Priest.
We also have a responsibility to build “our portion,” of the spiritual wall of the Kingdom of God; and as we build our portion we also help other fellow Warriors build their portion as well; by Loving them as God Loves You and I.
We Build The Wall Of The Kingdom of God TOGETHER WITH GOD AND WITH EACH OTHER! Ooooh Rah!
Warrior at your side,
Jesus and Billy
