Good Morning Warrior!
Word for the Day:
“Cleansed by the Word of God”
Text: Numbers 8:7
“Thus you shall do to them to cleanse them: Sprinkle water of purification on them, and let them shave all their body, and let them wash their clothes, and so make themselves clean.”
“Cleansed by the Word of God,” is on our menu for Breakfast this morning.
All Priests were Levites but not all Levites were Priests. Priests were from the line of Aaron and were made holy unto the Lord, while Levites were made clean to do the practical work of serving the Priests and the Tabernacle.
Both Priests and Levites needed to be Dedicated, Set apart, and Cleansed, in order to serve God.
This was a shadow of the royal priesthood of believers with their High Priest Jesus Christ!
“But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;
who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy.” (1Pet.2:9-10).
As Warrior Priests of the Kingdom of God we cleanse ourselves continually with the Word of God:
“How can a young man cleanse his way?
By taking heed according to Your word.
With my whole heart I have sought You;
Oh, let me not wander from Your commandments!
Your word I have hidden in my heart,
That I might not sin against You.”(Psa.119:9-11).
God’s Word washes our heart and our mind reminding us of His commands to love Him supremely and to love others the way God loves you and I.
This is how the Warrior “cleanses their way;” by taking heed, paying attention to, chewing on, meditating upon, and applying God’s Word to our Life continually. Oooooh Rah!
Warrior at your side,
Jesus and Billy
