Good Morning Warrior!
Word for the Day:
“And Moses and Aaron went into the tabernacle of meeting, and came out and blessed the people. Then the glory of the LORD appeared to all the people,
and fire came out from before the LORD and consumed the burnt offering and the fat on the altar. When all the people saw it, they shouted and fell on their faces.”
Aaaah, Love’s Consuming Fire is on the menu for Breakfast this morning. After all the labor of the priest, preparing the best of the animals, presenting these animals in detailed fashion, on the altar - God’s Fire falls, consuming the sacrifice, and leaving ashes, and burning coals behind. The Altar has been lit! Wow, these coals will continue to burn all future offerings to God.
I see this Fire as God’s Perfect Love. It could have consumed all the people, all the furniture of the Tabernacle - but God chose to accept the sacrifice in place of the people.
That’s Perfect Love. That’s our Father God and our Commander Jesus Christ! Ooooh Rah!
The Fire of Our Commander’s Love fell upon our heart when we first met Him at the Altar. His Perfect Love was an all consuming Fire that burned up the ‘wood, hay, and stubble’ of our mess of sin (1Corn.3:12-15), and left a flame of First Love in our heart; a new person (2Corin.5:17). We put off the old ways and put on the new ways (Eph.4:22-24); and the flickering flame of our First True Love began to grow.
Do you remember that moment? Those first days when all you had on your mind was Jesus? When you do remember and rehearse this moment, His Fire will fall once again - and light you up! He will consume the ‘wood, hay, and stubble’ of all the things this world has to offer - and it will leave behind ‘deep burning, unquenchable coals of Love, for Your Commander.
Ooooooh every time we sing a song to Him, His Fire falls on us! Every time we share a story of His Great Love for us, His Fire falls on us! Oh this makes you want to sing a song to Him and tell somebody what great things God has done and is doing right now in your life! Ooooh Rah! Oh let’s sing a song and let His Consuming Fire of Perfect Love lite us up, once again! Ooooh Rah!
We Are His Flames of Fire (Heb.1:7). Oh Bring down His Fire with your Song of Praise right now! Oooh Rah!
