Good Morning Warrior!
Word for the Day:
(Exod.5:1 - 6:12)
“Courage Under Fire”
“Therefore say to the children of Israel: I am the Lord; I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, I will rescue you from their bondage, and I will redeem you with an outstretched arm and with great judgments.”
Courage is on our menu for Breakfast this morning. Obedience and Trust takes Courage. We see Israel and Moses this morning in the “fire” of great suffering. Moses delivered God’s promise of deliverance to Israel and things got worse. It took Courage for Israel to Trust and Believe in God’s Promise - and it took Courage to speak the words of our text to a broken, beaten, and suffering people!
Most of the people surrendered to their pain and suffering and blamed Moses for “putting a sword in the hand of Pharoah’s servants to kill them!”(Exod.5:21).
Moses moved “one step” beyond his questioning of God - to Obey God and speak God’s Promise to the people, AGAIN! This took Courage Under Fire!
As Warriors of the Kingdom of God we are expected to engage the enemies of God with Courage Under Fire.
First of all, we should remember that we are all Courageous. It takes courage to be a Believer in Jesus Christ.
It takes courage to Pray and Trust in God. It takes courage to say sorry when we have offended someone.
Great Courage embraces God Who is standing IN the Fire; inviting us to Walk Through Through the Fire with Him; (through our questions, doubts, fears, and chaos) - like He did with Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego (Dan.3:19-25).
The Warrior takes that “one step” beyond fear, pain, and suffering - and declares I will Trust in my Commander and His Promises! (Prov.3:5-6).
This is Courage Under Fire!” Oooooh Rah!
