Good Morning Warrior!
Word for the Day:
“Don’t Fall Short of God’s Promise!”
Text: Numbers 32:5
“Therefore they said, “If we have found favor in your sight, let this land be given to your servants as a possession. Do not take us over the Jordan.”
“Don’t Fall Short of God’s Promise,” is on our menu for Breakfast this morning.
The tribes of Reuben, Gad, and half of Manasseh said to Moses “Do not take us over the Jordan.” After over 400 years of longing hopefully for the land God had promised them, these tribes said “Don’t take us over the Jordan” to God’s Promised Land - we want to stay here!
These tribes “Fell Short of God’s Promise.”
Listen up Warrior! Don’t Fall Short of God’s Promise For You! Passover the Jordan and Enter the Promised Land of God’s rest. Sure there are giants of fear, doubt, and unbelief that you and I will fight! However, our Commander Jesus and our Helper Holy Spirit are with us, to Lead us, Empower us, and Cause you and I to ALWAYS Triumph of these giants.
Don’t Fall Short of God’s Promise!
You and I have a Plan of Good Works that God has personally designed for you and I (Eph.2:10). This Plan includes a wilderness journey of trials to face and conquer; and it also includes God’s Promised Land of His Rest….
“Therefore, since a promise remains of entering His rest, let us fear lest any of you seem to have come short of it.”(Heb.4:1)
Resting in God’s work in you and I instead of depending upon our efforts, is how we enter into His rest, and God’s Promised Land - here on earth and in heaven forever.
Reuben, Gad, and half of Manasseh fell short of God’s Promise because of unbelief - they quit fighting!
While they finally agreed to go over and fight alongside the other tribes their heart was not in the fight, it was back on the other side of the Jordan River!
Listen up Warrior! Keep your eyes and heart on the prize of God’s Rest, His Promised Land for you and I…
“There remains therefore a rest for the people of God.
For he who has entered His rest has himself also ceased from his works as God did from His.
Let us therefore be diligent to enter that rest, lest anyone fall according to the same example of disobedience.” (Heb.4:9-11).
The Righteous Warrior fills their heart and mind with God’s Word each day for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner; walks with their Commander and Helper through all the stuff of Life triumphantly, and enters into God’s Promise of Rest, Depending upon His Work in them to Lead them and Empower them continually!
“Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place.” (2Corin.2:14).
March on Warrior! Ooooh Rah!
Warrior at your side,
