Good Morning Warrior!
Word for the Day:
"Don't Fight the Wrong Battle"
"After all this, when Josiah had prepared the temple, Necho king of Egypt came up to fight against Carchemish by the Euphrates; and Josiah went out against him."
Our Breakfast this morning shows us the tragedy of fighting the wrong battle.
The wrong battle is the battle that God has not appointed for you. The enemy uses the "wrong battle" as a distraction, designed to move us off the right battlefield that God has appointed for us.
King Josiah was clearly warned by God not to engage Necho, King of Egypt in this battle (v.22); yet he fought anyway. He fought without God at his side and he died at the young age of 39.
The battlefield God appointed for Josiah was the battlefield of reformation; bringing Judah and Israel back to God.
He was doing well on this battlefield; restoring true worship to God, and national celebration of Passover.
Then the enemy distracted him and dragged him into a fight that was not Josiah's fight.
Listen up Warrior. Follow your Commander! He will never lead you onto the wrong battlefield - and you won't be distracted like Josiah was, when you follow your Commander.
Take a Lesson from this error of Josiah.
Keep your Dates With Jesus, every day; breakfast, lunch, and dinner (Psa.55:17,18. Walk in the Light of Righteousness with Him (1John1:7).
Follow your King and Commander into the battles that He has appointed for you. You will always Triumph. You will always become stronger. Your Faith will be "battle tested," and you will honor your King! Oooh Rah!
