Good Morning Warrior!
Word for the Day:
(2 Kings 14:23 - 15:31)
“Don’t Forget Your Place of Authority”
Text: 2 Kings 15:5
“Then the LORD struck the king, so that he was a leper until the day of his death; so he dwelt in an isolated house. And Jotham the king’s son was over the royal house, judging the people of the land.”
“Don’t Forget Your Place of Authority,” is on our menu for Breakfast this morning.
God gives us all a “sphere of influence and authority;” begins with our life, and extending to those we lead as a Servant Leader - our family, and others we serve in His Ministry. We don’t Own this place of authority, we Manage it as a Servant Leader submitted to our Commander and King Jesus.
King Amaziah, known also as Uzziah, forgot his place of authority, and presumed to take God’s place of authority; and God Struck him with leprosy!
The Chronicles tell us the details of Uzziah’s sin as he was marvelously helped by God until he became strong:
“But when he was strong his heart was lifted up, to his destruction, for he transgressed against the LORD his God by entering the temple of the LORD to burn incense on the altar of incense.”(2 Chron.26:16).
Uzziah Forgot His Place because of Pride.
We have a Lesson to learn here from Uzziah. As God is helping you and I marvelously, remember the work that God is doing with His strength and power Belongs to God and Comes from God - not you or I..
The Bible says “ALL POWER BELONGS TO GOD”(Psa.62:11).
Let me give you some “Breaking News,” this morning Warrior: There is no power in “an earthen vessel,” without God!
Our enemy seizes our fruitfulness with Pride, telling you and I How Wonderful and Powerful WE are; and if we are like Uzziah we believe the devil’s lie and Forget Our Place!
The Apostle Paul was reminded of his place with a thorn in the flesh, that kept him humble in spite of the great things God did in and through his life (2Corin.12:7).
You and I have Holy Spirit to convict and humble you and I when Pride tries to slip into our heart. Holy Spirit reminds me:“Dirt Plus God, Billy; that’s who you are.” “You’re My Dirtbag and I’m Your Treasure!” “So the excellence of the Power May be of Me not you!” (2Corin.4:7).
That’s how Our Commander works with me, reminding me of Who He IS and Who I am….
Oh Hallelujah! How Wonderfully Our Commander Helps You and I to not Forget Our Place of Authority as His Warrior:
“Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.” (Luke 10:19).
Now we Know Our Place - We Walk In Our Place as God’s Warrior, “Destroying The Works Of The devil! Ooooooh Rah!
Warrior at your side,
Jesus and Billy
