Good Morning Warrior!
Hallelujah, it’s The Lord’s Day!
Word for the Day:
(2 Chronicles 35)
“Dying On The Wrong Battlefield”
Text: 2 Chronicles 35:22
“Nevertheless Josiah would not turn his face from him, but disguised himself so that he might fight with him, and did not heed the words of Necho from the mouth of God. So he came to fight in the Valley of Megiddo.”
“Dying on the Wrong Battlefield,” is on our menu for Breakfast this morning.
Josiah was warned by God not to fight against Necho. In effect, this was the Wrong Battlefield for Josiah to fight on. Our Lesson from King Josiah is to Always take counsel from God BEFORE heading to the Battlefield. Remember your Principal Weapon is The Word of God. Regularly Rehearse “The Warrior’s Creed; “I must fire my Bible true, using the right verse for the lie of the enemy.” Know Your Weapon Well; book, chapter, and verse. When we go to the Fight with counsel from God, we have great confidence and assurance of Victory because God Fights For You and I, and Always Causes You and I To Triumph in Him (2Corin.2:14).
Tragically, in his rashness, Josiah copied the error of the god-hater king Ahab (2Chron.19:2); who “disguised himself,” and “went to battle without God,” “was struck at random with an archer’s arrow,” and was “propped up in his chariot until he died.” (2Chron.18:29,33-34).
I say again, our take-away lesson from King Josiah is when we take counsel from our Commander Jesus Christ and He leads you and I on to the Battlefield of Righteousness We Will Never Die On The Wrong Battlefield! You and I Will Always TRIUMPH! Ooooh Rah!
I’m attaching The Warrior’s Creed for you in case you don’t have it on your mirror or refrigerator! Ooooh Rah!
Warrior at your side,
Jesus and Billy
