Good Morning Warrior!
Word for the Day:
(Numbers 23:27 - 24:25)
“Eyes and Ears Open but Heart Closed”
Text: Numbers 24:3-4
“Then he took up his oracle and said:
“The utterance of Balaam the son of Beor,
The utterance of the man whose eyes are opened,
The utterance of him who hears the words of God,
Who sees the vision of the Almighty,
Who falls down, with eyes wide open:”
“Eyes and Ears Open but Heart Closed,” is on our menu for Breakfast this morning.
Balaam had his eyes Open to see God from far away, his ears could Hear the Words of God, but His Heart was closed to God by loving the wages of unrighteousness instead of Loving God.
Balaam, is an example to avoid. The spirit of pride and lust that captured his heart can capture our heart too!
Many have their eyes and ears open to see God and hear His Words from far away - not intimately as a son and daughter see and hear God’s Words as Our Father, Our Lord and Savior, and Our Helper……
The difference is their heart is closed to God and opened to the lust and pride of the world - and our heart is opened to our Commander and King and closed to the pleasures of this world.
We’ve all seen prominent Christian leaders embrace the spirit that captured Balaam’s heart, and walk away from God.
Listen up Warrior! You and I are called by Our Commander Jesus Christ to Love Him Supremely and Serve Him Faithfully Always! He then calls you and I to Love, Serve, and Lead people toward a growing personal relationship with Christ! The Only way we can do this is by maintaining an intimate relationship with Jesus and Holy Spirit. That’s why we’re reading this devotional this morning, and every morning. My prayer is that you not only read and hear it, but that you chew on it, meditate on it, and apply it to your heart; and that you read all the verses of our Word for the Day.
The spirit of Balaam was birthed from the heart of satan; and it has captured Adam and multitudes of people ever since. It is in most of our National leaders today, and even in the church community; people who have seen and heard God’s Word but closed their heart to God, loving the Knowledge that puffs up Pride of self, and loving the praises of mankind more than the fear and wonder of God.
Our Mission remains clear Warrior! Eyes, Ears, and Heart Open at all times to our Commander and to our Helper!
