Good Morning Warrior!
Word for the Day:
"Giving Thanks From a Grateful Heart"
"So I brought the leaders of Judah up on the wall, and appointed two large thanksgiving choirs. One went to the right hand on the wall toward the Refuse Gate."
Wow, what a concert to have for Breakfast this morning. I can almost hear the thundering voices and instruments of thousands of people standing on the walls surrounding Jerusalem! Praising God from a Grateful heart. Two choirs designated as Thanksgiving Choirs, each choir on half of the wall.
I was reminded of the Warrior King David. He was known as The Sweet Psalmist of Israel (2Sam.23:1). His radical praise and the place he set aside for praise continually in the house of God was a model for Israel (1Chron.16:37). King David's had a grateful heart because he was "always small in his own eyes."
A grateful heart is behind radical praise.
When we consider what our King and Commander has Given to us, our heart erupts with gratefulness and praise.
We praise God from a Grateful heart - "thanks be unto God for His indescribable Gift," of Himself; far greater than the financial gift of the Corinthian church (2Corin.9:15).
We praise God for His Gift of Righteousness, Peace, and Joy in the Holy Spirit (Rom.14:17).
Oh God, help us to never lose the Wonder of Christmas in our heart - the moment when Heaven invaded Earth and Deposited Hope for Hopeless Humanity! Ooooh Rah!
Warrior at your side,
