Good Morning Warrior!
Word for the Day:
“God Always Performs What He Promises”
Text: Genesis 27:4
“And make me savory food, such as I love, and bring it to me that I may eat, that my soul may bless you before I die.”
This Principle that “God Always Performs What He Promises,” is on our menu for Breakfast this morning.
Before the twin sons of Jacob and Esau were born God Chose Jacob to inherit the Birthright of the Firstborn son. He spoke this Promise to Rebecca in Genesis 25:23:
“And the LORD said to her:
“Two nations are in your womb,
Two peoples shall be separated from your body;
One people shall be stronger than the other,
And the older shall serve the younger.”
Like every Promise of God, God Will Perform it Every Time.
You and I can either Trust God to Perform His Promise or we can “try and make it happen in our own strength;” like Isaac, Rebecca, Esau, and Jacob did.
Instead of Believing God and RESTING in this Faith and Trust in God - this household chose to not Trust in God, but Rest in their Unbelief and trust in their own ways of manipulation and deceit “trying to make it happen!”
The result of their unbelief was pain and suffering for many years for each of them.
Let’s take a Lesson of “what not to do,” from this family today.
“The Warrior isn’t responsible to Make the Promise Happen - You and I get to Watch It Happen!” Oooh Rah!
First, God is Responsible To Perform His Promises, not you or I; and He Always Performs His Promise, in the perfect way and the perfect timing. The Bible declares:
“God is not a man, that He should lie,
Nor a son of man, that He should repent.
Has He said, and will He not do?
Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?
Behold, I have received a command to bless;
He has blessed, and I cannot reverse it.”(Numbers 23:19-20).
Secondly, You and I need to REST in this Truth by Faith and Trust Him to Do What He Says He Will Do.
“Trust in the LORD with all your heart,
And lean not on your own understanding;
In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall direct your paths.”(Prov.3:5-6).
In other words, Trust God Completely and don’t depend upon your own imperfect understanding, “trying to make the promise come to pass.” And make Your Helper Holy Spirit part of every decision you make and “He Will Direct Your Paths.”
Lastly, you and I need to Keep our Heart and our Eyes on Our Commander Jesus Christ! He IS Our WayMaker - Miracle Worker - PROMISE KEEPER - Light In The Darkness - MY GOD! That Is Who You Are!
Lastly, Know that “God’s Purpose and Promises Will Stand in spite of the works of others.” It did for Joseph and it will for you and I too. God Always Performs What He Promises!
Warrior at your side,
Jesus and Billy
