Good Morning Warrior!
Word for the Day:
Text: Leviticus 9:7
“And Moses said to Aaron, “Go to the altar, offer your sin offering and your burnt offering, and make atonement for yourself and for the people. Offer the offering of the people, and make atonement for them, as the LORD commanded.”
“God First,” is on our menu for Breakfast this morning.
Before Aaron could serve the people as God’s high priest he had to serve God First. He had to first, “go to the altar, offer his sin offering and his burnt offering, and make atonement for himself. He did this publicly so the people he served could see that he was like them; a person that needed to make atonement for himself through the life of an innocent animal without blemish.
Only after Aaron first made his relationship with God right, could he help the people make their relationship with God right.
This is what Our Commander Jesus Christ did for you and I and the world; He put God the Father FIRST.
He went to the altar of the Cross as the Perfect Son of Man, made just like you and I yet without sin, and gave His Life as our sin offering, burnt offering, and peace offering, once forever. He was and is and always will be the Only Atonement, for mankind and God.
“He Is The Way, The Truth, and The Life, no one comes to the Father except by Me.” (John 14:6).
He is the Peacemaker between God and mankind; (Eph.2:14-18) because He put the Will of the Father First!
As God’s Warrior you and I must put God First in our Life. We do this by obeying His First and Great Commandment:
“Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’
This is the first and great commandment.”(Matt.22:37-38).
When you and I Love God Supremely First, then we can Love others the way God loves them; and that’s the Great Commission.
Jesus continues His answer to the lawyer’s question with these words:
“And the second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’
On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.” (Matt.22:39-40).
The Great Commandment is First then the Great Commission follows.
The Warrior of God places God First in all things - We Love God Supremely, and then we Love others the way God Loves Them! Ooooh Rah!
Warrior at your side,
Jesus and Billy
