Good Morning Warrior!
It’s The Lord’s Day, Hallelujah!
Word for the Day:
“Grace Triumphs Over sin”
Text: Genesis 38:29
“Then it happened, as he drew back his hand, that his brother came out unexpectedly; and she said, “How did you break through? This breach be upon you!” Therefore his name was called Perez.”
“Grace Triumphs Over sin,” is on our menu for Breakfast this morning.
Grace is available to anyone who will receive it with a humble heart of repentance.
Judah made a wrong choice to leave his family and go to “visit a certain Adulamite named Hirah.” This visit turned into a dwelling place of wickedness and misery for Judah. Yet in this Tragedy in Judah’s life God’s Sovereign Grace brought Triumph over sin. Perez, meaning “Breakthrough,” broke through the womb of Tamar, as his grandfather Jacob broke through the womb of Rebecca; and was chosen to be included as an ancestor of Jesus the Messiah.
God took the son of this ungodly situation and put him in the family line of the Messiah, in spite of the fact that neither Judah nor Tamar were examples of godliness.
We see this in the genealogy of Jesus in Matthew 1:3 and Luke 3:33.
This is a wonderful example of God’s Sovereign Grace to make room for him to have a role in God’s plan of redemption.
Listen up Warrior! God’s Grace Always Triumphs Over sin; and makes room for you and I who receive His Grace with a humble heart of repentance.
God gives Grace to the humble but He resists the proud (James 4:6).
God’s Grace Triumphantly leads us, works in us, and releases the fragrance of His Love in us:
“Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place.” (2Corin.2:14).
Oh how wonderful is God’s Amazing Grace that saved a wretched and wicked sinner like me. I once was lost but now I’m found, was blind but now I see; because Grace Triumphs Over sin! Ooooh Rah!
Warrior at your side,
