Good Morning Warrior!
Word for the Day:
“He Became like us so we could Become like Him”
Text: Exodus 39:1
“Of the blue, purple, and scarlet thread they made garments of ministry, for ministering in the holy place, and made the holy garments for Aaron, as the LORD had commanded Moses.”
This Wonder that “He Became like us so we could Become like Him,” is on our menu for Breakfast this morning.
Threads of Blue, Purple, and Scarlet marked the Garments to be worn by Aaron the first High Priest of Israel.
These threads were symbols of Blue (for Heaven), Purple (for Royalty of the King), and Red (for the Blood of Jesus), “the Lamb of God that takes away the sin of the world” (John 1:29).
Aaron points you and I to Jesus Christ the Perfect High Priest as Son of Man. He came from Heaven to be like us in every way yet without sin. The Bible says:
“Therefore, in all things He had to be made like His brethren, that He might be a merciful and faithful High Priest in things pertaining to God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people.
For in that He Himself has suffered, being tempted, He is able to aid those who are tempted.”(Heb.2:17-18).
Our Commander and King Jesus wears the garments of the Perfect High Priest who lives forever to make intercession for you and I:
“Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.” (Heb.7:25).
Now, for those who have surrendered their life to Him, He has made us a kingdom of priests to serve Him with our Life as a Living Sacrifice to Him.
“Coming to Him as to a living stone, rejected indeed by men, but chosen by God and precious,
you also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.”
“But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;
who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy.” (1Pet.2:4-5; 9-10). The priestly garments we wear are the Righteousness of Jesus Christ!
He became like us so we could Become like Him; Loving and Serving Him forever as His priests! Ooooh Rah!
Warrior at your side,
