Good Morning Warrior!
Word for the Day:
"He Is My Peace"
Text: Num. 5:6-7
"Speak to the children of Israel: When a man or woman commits any sin that men commit in unfaithfulness against the LORD, and that person is guilty,
then he shall confess the sin which he has committed. He shall make restitution for his trespass in full, plus one-fifth of it, and give it to the one he has wronged."
Peace is on our menu for Breakfast this morning; Our Commander Himself Is Our Peace.
The first Covenant required a guilty person to confess their sin and make restitution in full to the person they had wronged. Any sin that we commit is first a sin against God, and then a sin against His creation.
We must first Confess and Repent of our sin Before we can appropriate God's Offering for sin! We're made aware of our sin by Holy Spirit's conviction of our conscience; and we are Guilty as Charged! There are no excuses, reasonings, or special circumstances of mitigation - we're guilty.
If we delay, we add to our sin another sin of rebellion; and a heavier chain that binds us as a slave of sin. We have exchanged our royal robes as a child of God - for the chains of sin as a slave of sin. Why would we delay when the Offering of Peace through Grace and Mercy is ready to forgive and forget? (1John 1:9).
The Faithful Warrior does not delay. We own responsibility for our sin. We judge it as sin. We confess it! Repent of it. Learn from it to never repeat it again! Oooh Rah!
Now, we can look at the matter of 'restitution.'
How can we make restitution to God for our sin? Israel had to make offerings continually to 'cover their sin,' but this could never remove their sin; only the Perfect Son of Man could do that.(Heb.2:14)
Our Commander and King is Our Peace, Who has broken down every wall of sin that separated us from God, (Eph. 2:14-16), creating in Himself one new man from the two, thus making peace, so that He might reconcile them both to God in one body through the cross, thereby putting to death the enmity! Oooh Rah!
The Warrior Walks In Peace with the Prince of Peace through a Lifestyle of Repentance and Obedience! Our Commander Is Our Peace! Ooooh Rah!
