Good Morning Warrior!
Word for the Day:
“His Word My Life”
Text: Deut. 32:46-47
“and he said to them: “Set your hearts on all the words which I testify among you today, which you shall command your children to be careful to observe—all the words of this law.
For it is not a futile thing for you, because it is your life, and by this word you shall prolong your days in the land which you cross over the Jordan to possess.”
“His Word My Life,” in on our menu this morning for Breakfast. After sharing all the words of this song, the history of Israel’s life; Moses tells the people to “set their hearts on these words,” and to “teach these words to their children, for them to carefully observe them.” In these words of the law there is Life to those who observe them and obey them.
In His Word My Life is Found.
The history of mankind and God’s Love working with Mankind, is revealed in His Word. It’s not a vain or futile thing to occupy ourself with God’s Word - our Life Depends in careful observance and obedience to His Word. How can we obey what we do not know? How can the Warrior enforce their Commander’s Authority if they don’t know their Commander’s Word?
I was reminded of His Word that breathed His Life into the common dirt of Man - and Man became a “living being.”
“And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.”(Gen.2:7). Our Commander Jesus Christ IS The Word of God becoming flesh as Son of God, and Life is found only IN Him.
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God.
All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.
In Him was life, and the life was the light of men.” (John 1:1-4).
“And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.” (John 1:14)
Walking with our Commander is walking with the Word of God. Our meetings with Him, morning, noon, and evening; and our living life with Him every day, keeps us growing IN Him. “In all our ways we consider Him and He directs our path (Prov.3:6). We give attention to His Words, keeping them in our heart, because they are life to those who find them, and health to all their flesh. His Words help us keep our heart with all diligence, for out of it spring the issues of life. (Prov.4:20-23).
This is why His Word is Our Life. We’re Born by His Word and We Live by Obedience to His Word. Ooooh Rah!
