Good Morning Warrior!
It’s Celebration Sunday, The Lord’s Day!
Word for the Day:
(1Chron. 3:1 - 4:23)
“Honor is Found in Prayer”
Text: 1 Chron.4:9-10
“Now Jabez was more honorable than his brothers, and his mother called his name Jabez, saying, “Because I bore him in pain.” And Jabez called on the God of Israel saying, “Oh, that You would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory, that Your hand would be with me, and that You would keep me from evil, that I may not cause pain!” So God granted him what he requested.”
“Honor is Found in Prayer,” is on our menu for Breakfast this morning.
Jabez was honored by God because he Prayed, he Served God, and he Lived with the desire to bless others. We can see this in his Prayer:
Bless me so I can be a blessing to others and not bring pain -
Enlarge my territory of influence with many disciples -
Keep Your Hand on me firmly guiding me in Righteousness, keeping me away from evil.
Jabez shows us who he is by what he prays.
Listen up Warrior! What We Do and Say is the Result of Who We Are!
Honor begins with Prayer, as we Honor God by humbling our self, confessing our need, and our weakness. Jesus tells us:
“If anyone serves Me, let him follow Me; and where I am, there My servant will be also. If anyone serves Me, him My Father will honor.”(John 12:26).
The Warrior finds their Honor in Prayer, Connected With Their Commander and King like a Branch is Connected to the Vine:
“Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.” (John 15:4).
Honor is Found in Prayer by Abiding In The Vine! This is how we Serve God and how we are a Blessing to others like Jabez was. Oooh Rah!
Warrior at your side,
