Good Morning Warrior!
Word for the Day:
“In My Brokenness He Is Great”
Text: Exod. 4:12
“Now therefore, go, and I will be with your mouth and teach you what you shall say.”
Brokenness is on our Menu for Breakfast this morning.
Greatness is hidden in brokenness. We are as common as dirt unless Almighty God breathes the breath of life in us and we become a living being (Gen.2:7). At this time Moses has been greatly humbled. After 40 years in the palace he flees as a murderer into the desert of Media for another 40 years. It is no wonder that he was dealing with deep depression and discouragement. In Egypt, he had tried to be the Deliverer of his people “in his own strength (by slaying the Egyptian), he has no confidence in himself any more; and he is now ready to be God’s Leader of Israel.
These are the words of a broken and meek man who has seen his imperfection clearly - and is small in his own eyes as King David was.
In Moses Brokenness God’s Greatness is fully displayed. He had this testimony from God that “Now the man Moses was very humble, more than any man on the face of the earth.” (Num.12:3). His Greatness was in his humility. This is the Picture of our Commander and King Jesus Christ, Who made Himself of no reputation, like us, like a slave, serving mankind and sacrificing Himself for mankind (Phil.2:5-11).
Listen up Warrior! What great Confidence we have when God is our only Source, and we have absolutely no confidence in the flesh, (our reasonings, abilities, and experiences) (Phil.3:3). Our Commander “goes with us and will be with our mouth and teach us what to say;” as we walk with Him.
As the Apostle Paul discovered, God’s All-Sufficient Grace and Power was ‘fully displayed’ in Paul’s weakness. Yes, Paul even ‘gloried in his own weakness,” so that God’s power may be on full display in his life (2Corin.12:9-10).
In My Brokenness He Is Greatest! Oooh Rah!
