Good Morning Warrior!
Word for the Day:
"Innocence lost; The Drama of sin"
"So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate. She also gave to her husband with her, and he ate."
Our Breakfast this morning is the Drama of sin performed in the life of our first parents Adam and Eve. By one man, Adam, sin entered the world ....(Rom.5:12-14), and infected all of humanity. The perfection, peace, and intimate fellowship with God was immediately destroyed by one act of disobedience. The voice of God that used to bring joy in their heart - brought fear, because they were confronted with "what they had lost!" They lost the perfection of Oneness with God that obedience gave them. Now the innocence of their nakedness became a shame, they tried to cover - rather than being naked and unaware of shame, like a little baby.
Oh the sorrow of innocence lost, the drama of sin that began that moment in Eden.
This drama plays out in humanity today. The question of "Has God said:" is designed to create doubt in what God says in His Word, and question God's goodness and Love toward mankind.
There is only one response to the lie and that is the Truth! Yet many believers don't know the Truth, because they are not students of the Truth, they're not reading, meditating, and applying the Truth to the circumstances and challenges of life they face every day.
So, like Adam and Eve they are deceived and believe the lie of the enemy.
Our Commander Jesus, as Son of Man, showed us clearly how to respond to any question regarding our King: "it is written ...." (Matt.4:4,7,10).
Warriors must be Students of the Word of God. Daily sitting at His feet for Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner; and deploying His Word accurately in the stuff of life we deal with.
Adam and Eve chose what God expressly forbid: "the creation of God, a tree, made from dirt like them - rather than choosing the Creator God Himself, Omniscience Himself.
They chose "their way" instead of "God's Way;" disobedience instead of obedience.
Let us take a lesson from this drama and respond to the enemy as our Commander did "it is written..." We are Warrior's of the Kingdom of God and we sit at His feet daily, eating, digesting, and using His Word in battle everyday! Oooh Rah!
Warrior at your side,
