Good Morning Warrior!
Word for the Day:
“Keep and Teach what God has Done”
Text: Deuteronomy 4:9
“Only take heed to yourself, and diligently keep yourself, lest you forget the things your eyes have seen, and lest they depart from your heart all the days of your life. And teach them to your children and your grandchildren,”
“Keep and Teach what God has Done” in your life, is on our menu for Breakfast this morning.
Moses is reminding Israel of the lessons they have learned from their deliverance from the slavery of Egypt through the wilderness to the border of their Promised Land.
He commands them to keep God’s Law and then teach to others what God has Done in their life.
This is our Commander’s Word to you and I today also as His Warrior:
“Keep your heart with all diligence,
For out of it spring the issues of life.”(Prov.4:23).
We “keep” and guard our heart by daily reading, chewing on, and applying God’s Word in our life. Filling our heart with His Word leaves no room for the things of this world to grow.
The Faithful Warrior’s love for God and His Word makes you and I a “life-long Student” of God’s Word. You and I are accumulating lessons learned from obedience (God’s blessing) and also lessons learned from disobedience (God’s correction); this is called “our personal testimony.”
By taking heed to ourself and obeying God’s Word our life, as a “life-long Student, becomes a “Teacher” to others by our godly influence.
This is what Paul commanded Timothy to do:
“Take heed to yourself and to the doctrine. Continue in them, for in doing this you will save both yourself and those who hear you.”(1Tim.4:16)
In other words, our godly life as a Student will Teach others and lead them to become Students of God’s Word also.
This is the Power of our personal testimony and how you and I Keep and Teach what God has Done, and is continuing to do in our life! Oooh Rah!
Warrior at your side,
Jesus and Billy
