Good Morning Warrior!
Word for the Day:
“The Lie of Unbelief”
Text: Deuteronomy 1:32-33
“Yet, for all that, you did not believe the LORD your God,
who went in the way before you to search out a place for you to pitch your tents, to show you the way you should go, in the fire by night and in the cloud by day.”
“The Lie of Unbelief” is on our menu for Breakfast this morning.
Unbelief is a lie that sets itself against the Truth of God’s Word.
This has continued to be the weapon of choice for our enemy the devil; after all “he is a liar and the father of it” (John 8:44).
he used this lie of unbelief against Adam and Eve in the Garden, and Israel in the wilderness. he used it against our Commander Jesus Christ in the wilderness, and he uses it against you and I today!
It begins with a seed of doubt: “Has God Said?”
“Now the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said to the woman, “Has God indeed said, ‘You shall not eat of every tree of the garden’?” (Gen.3:1) he moves Eve to question God’s Word of Truth. This follows with a direct lie “….. you shall not surely die” (Gen.3:4) and then comes the fear of missing out on something pleasurable (Gen.3:5).
The seed of doubt quickly grows to fear and then unbelief!
This happened to Adam and Eve and infects all of humanity today. The only cure and defense against this lie of unbelief is the Truth of God’s Word!
We must learn to talk “God’s Talk,” when unbelief knocks on our door!
That’s what our Commander Jesus did in the wilderness. He said “It is written;” He talked ‘God Talk’ when the liar talked!
When unbelief says “what has God said?” The Warrior says I am complete in Jesus Christ for it is written: “For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power.(Col.2:9-10).
“But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God—and righteousness and sanctification and redemption--
that, as it is written, “He who glories, let him glory in the LORD.” (1Corin.1:30-31).
Oh Hallelujah! And there’s more!
“He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?
Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies.”(Rom.8:32-33)
“Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord,
as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue,
by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.(2Pet.1:2-4).
Oh my fellow Warrior let God’s Word grow mightily in you:
“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.”(Col.3:16-17)
Oh Hallelujah! When a Warrior’s life is full of the Truth of God’s Word there is no room for the lie of unbelief.
When the liar knocks on our door God’s Truth answers the door! Ooooh Rah!
Warrior at your side,
Jesus and Billy
