Good Morning Warrior!
Word for the Day:
(1 Kings 21)
“Lawlessness is Never Satisfied”
Text: 1Kings 21:25
“But there was no one like Ahab who sold himself to do wickedness in the sight of the LORD, because Jezebel his wife stirred him up.”
This principle that “Lawlessness is Never Satisfied,” is on our menu for Breakfast this morning. Lawlessness is like a leech, it is it’s own enemy, eating itself up:
The Proverbs warns us of this:
“The leech has two daughters--
Give and Give!
There are three things that are never satisfied,
Four never say, “Enough!”:
The barren womb,
The earth that is not satisfied with water--
And the fire never says, “Enough!”(Prov.30:15-16)
Ahab and Jezebel were a picture of this leech; wicked and weak (Ahab) and wicked and strong (Jezebel) their life cried “Give Me More!”
The leech is known for it’s craving appetite for blood that is never satisfied. If left alone and unattended on an animal it devours the animals blood until it explodes in “self-destruction.” That’s what sin does if left alone and unattended by repentance, it destroys itself. Hell is never satisfied:
“Hell and Destruction are never full;
So the eyes of man are never satisfied.”(Prov.27:20).
Ahab sold himself to practice this principle of lawlessness and became the worst King in Israel. He destroyed himself and all his posterity.
Listen up Warrior! Take a lesson from this man and woman who pursued lawlessness - it Never satisfies, it Always self-destructs! That’s the picture of most of humanity today; unsatisfied and self-destructing in front of our eyes!
