Good Morning Warrior!
It’s the Lord’s Day today!
The Word for the Day is:
(1 Kings 12:1-24)
“Leading With a Humble Heart”
Text: 1Kings 12:7
“And they spoke to him, saying, “If you will be a servant to these people today, and serve them, and answer them, and speak good words to them, then they will be your servants forever.”
“Leading With a Humble Heart,” is on our menu for Breakfast this morning. This is the Model of Servant Leadership that our Commander Jesus Christ lived. A Servant Leader serves the best interest of those they lead. Righteousness with God is the “best interest” of each person.
Rehoboam’s heart of pride and arrogance blinded him from the good counsel of the elders; because he was serving the best interest of his proud and arrogant heart - not righteousness with God.
The humble heart unites but the proud heart divides.
“Likewise you younger people, submit yourselves to your elders. Yes, all of you be submissive to one another, and be clothed with humility, for
“God resists the proud,
But gives grace to the humble.”
Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time,
casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.”(1Pet.5:5-7).
Our Commander and King came into this world as the Perfect Servant Leader to Show us how To Lead ourself and others With A Humble Heart.
“Yet it shall not be so among you; but whoever desires to become great among you, let him be your servant. And whoever desires to be first among you, let him be your slave--
just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.”(Matt.20:26-28).
“Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself.
Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others.” (Phil.2:3-4).
The Humble Heart unites themself and others with God; serving the best interest of others.
