Good Morning Warrior!
Word for the Day:
"Led By The Favor Of God"
"Now when the turn came for Esther the daughter of Abihail the uncle of Mordecai, who had taken her as his daughter, to go in to the king, she requested nothing but what Hegai the king’s eunuch, the custodian of the women, advised. And Esther obtained favor in the sight of all who saw her."
Breakfast this morning shows us how God is leading Esther and Mordecai with His favor. God's favor is leading this young girl, among many other young girls, into a harem of the king. In this culture, when the king "took them" he "married them," and each of them became his wife. However, one young girl was being led by God's favor, and she "obtained favor in the sight of all who saw her. "For You, O Lord, will bless the righteous;
With favor You will surround him as with a shield." (Psa.5:12) The heart of the king is in the hand of God, and like a river, He turns it wherever He wishes (Prov.21:1). So, God moved the king's heart to do what He wanted, and make Esther Queen of the Persian Empire.
God's favor led righteous Mordecai to be in the right place at the right time to overhear a threat to the King life. Making this threat known to Esther, having this written down in the Chronicles of the king - to be remembered, was crucial. We'll see this in Our Breakfast on Sunday morning (Chapter 6).
The Warrior is also led by the favor of God. This is how He makes even our enemies to be at peace with us (Prov.16:7); and ultimately surrender to the Love of God in us (Rom.12:21).
And like Esther, our King has placed a crown on our head as Warrior Queens and Warrior Kings in the Kingdom of God!
Like Mordecai, we will do many actions of goodness in this world that will not be seen or appreciated by others - but they will each be written down in the Chronicles of the Kingdom of Heaven, ready to be revealed to everyone at the Judgment Day. "For our God is not unjust to forget our work and labor of love...."(Heb.6:10)
Our works and our Dates We Have Had With Jesus for Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner, are all remembered.
"Then those who feared the Lord spoke to one another,
And the Lord listened and heard them;
So a book of remembrance was written before Him
For those who fear the Lord
And who meditate on His name." (Mal.3:16).
