Good Morning Warrior!
Word for the Day:
(Leviticus 17, 18)
“Life is in the blood”
Text: Leviticus 17:11
“For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you upon the altar to make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood that makes atonement for the soul.’”
The fact that “Life is in the blood” is on our menu for Breakfast this morning.
When we see blood flowing out of a body we are seeing life leaving the body. The sacrifices for sin required by the Law all required the blood of an innocent animal; and this only ‘covered’ the sin, it did not take it away. These sacrifices all pointed to
Jesus Christ, “the Lamb of God that ‘takes away the sin of the world.’”(John 1:29).
The Blood of Jesus Christ as Son of Man was innocent, and it was “given to you and I upon the altar,” of the cross, “to make atonement for our souls; for it is the blood that makes atonement for the soul.”
Day 2 of Passion Week
After spending night in Bethany with Lazarus Jesus and His disciples return to Jerusalem. On the way, He curses a fig tree for it’s barrenness; reflecting God’s judgement on the spiritually barren religious leaders of Israel. He enters Jerusalem and goes to the Temple and clears His Father’s House of all the corrupt money changers. (Matt.21:12-22)
THEME FOR THIS DAY:
“Judgement Begins At God’s House”(1Pet.4:17)
God judges His Warriors everyday with our conscience and with the conviction of Holy Spirit our Helper.
God’s judgement of His church is based upon obedience.
Obedience to God will keep our Branch fruitful (John 15:1-8), not like the barren fruit tree; and our Love and Obedience will cause us to hate covetousness.
Lord help me to be more aware of opportunities to share the Gospel with others; and be a fruitful branch for You. Help me to Love others like You Love me, and Serve others like You Serve me as my King and High Priest. In Jesus’ name I pray, AMEN”
Warrior at your side,
