Good Morning Marines and Warriors!
Word for the Day:
“Living Letters Known and Read By All People”
“And he did what was right in the sight of the Lord, and walked in the ways of his father David; he did not turn aside to the right hand or to the left.”
Oh, what a refreshing Breakfast this is this morning! A righteous king emerges again in Judah.
Josiah was 6 years old when his grandfather Manasseh died, and 8 years old when his father Amon died; when he was made king. When he was 16 he began to seek the God of King David and never turned away from God. His life was a Living Letter Known by all that he led as king. His Life spoke louder than what he said. That’s why all of Judah followed him as he followed God, all the days of his life (v.33). He was a man of God.
The Bible also calls you and I “letters written by God, Known and read by all men.” (2Corin.3:2-3).
Our daily walk with God, like Josiah’s walk with God, is not a “hidden thing;” but a fully displayed letter - a Living Letter, that God Himself is writing for everyone to read.
“Footnotes” of God’s Grace and Mercy from our Repentance are sprinkled throughout the text of our Living Letter. People know and read our Letter as we share our story of who we were, how He rescued us, and what He’s Doing today in our life!
We don’t need to be embarrassed by the past failures, because we can point to the “footnotes” of His Grace and Mercy that cleansed us and turned our scars into stars for His Glory. Yes, He makes all things work out for our good and His Glory(Rom.8:28).
Every scar has a story of Grace and Mercy behind it. A story, a “footnote” of God’s Grace and Mercy that continues to transform us more into His image and likeness every day.(2Corin.3:18).
Listen up Warrior! Like King Josiah’s Living Letter that brought a nation to God; Your Living Letter will lead People to Christ as they come to “Know and Read your Letter.”
