Good Morning Warrior!
Word for the Day:
“Living The Consecrated Life”
Text: Exodus 29:20
“Then you shall kill the ram, and take some of its blood and put it on the tip of the right ear of Aaron and on the tip of the right ear of his sons, on the thumb of their right hand and on the big toe of their right foot, and sprinkle the blood all around on the altar.”
“Living The Consecrated Life,” is on our menu for Breakfast this morning.
Aaron and his sons were Consecrated, set apart and dedicated to serve God and Israel as priests. This event required the blood of a bull, that was to be sprinkled upon the altar, and then placed on the right ear, the thumb of the right hand, and the big toe of the right foot of Aaron and his sons.
You and I as Warriors and Believers in Jesus Christ have been made a “royal priesthood” (1Pet.2:9) and a kingdom of priests and kings:
“and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler over the kings of the earth.
To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood,
and has made us kings and priests to His God and Father, to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.” (Rev.1:5-6)
At the altar of salvation we laid our sins upon Him as the Lamb of God, by confessing our sin; and His Blood was spilled on the altar of the Cross - and placed on the tip of our right ear, the thumb of of right hand, and the big toe of our right foot.
You and I were born again to Live A Consecrated Life, dedicated to our Commander and King Jesus Christ!
His Blood is on our ear to Hear His voice through His Word and continuous fellowship with Him. Jesus said “My sheep hear My voice...” (John 10:3-5).
The new believer “lambs,” don’t yet know the Shepherd’s voice so they follow the “sheep,” and learn to know the Voice of the Shepherd; by continuous fellowship with Him and daily reading and chewing on His Word.
His Blood is on our thumb to labor and serve Him and others in Love:
“But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection.
And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful.
Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.” (Col.3:14-17)
His Blood is on our big toe to Walk in His Ways, doing His Commandments, imitating Him in all we do. Imitating not only the “external copying” of how He lived, but also having the “internal motive of His heart of Love.” Holy Spirit will help us imitate Jesus by the power of His Love:
“Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world.” (1John 4:17)
Living the Consecrated Life begins with
Hearing our Shepherd and Helper Holy Spirit; then
Laboring and Serving Him and Others in Love; and lastly
Walking and imitating “How our Shepherd Lived and How Our Shepherd Loved.
This is Living The Consecrated Life of a Warrior! Ooooh Rah!
