Good Morning Warrior!
Word for the Day:
“Love God Supremely and others equally.”
Text: Exodus 20:2-3
“I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
“You shall have no other gods before Me.”
“Love God Supremely and others equally,” is on our menu for Breakfast this morning.
This is a Choice and a Commitment that the Warrior makes when they surrender their life to God.
God must Always be First in our life; He is not our first choice He is our Only Choice.
“We Love Him because He First Loved us,”(1John 4:19), and redeemed us from the bondage of sin as our Peacemaker (Eph.2:14-16).
The first four commands concern our personal relationship with God, and the six remaining commands concern our personal relationship with others.
When you and I Love God Supremely we will not make or practice idolatry, we will not profane His Holy name, and we will Remember the Sabbath Day and keep it holy.
And because you and I Love God Supremely our personal relationship with God will flavor and guide our personal relationship with others:
We will honor our parents,
We will not murder,
We will not commit adultery,
We will not steal,
We will not speak lies about others,
And we will not practice coveteousness.
Our Commander Jesus Christ told the lawyer, and He tells you and I today:
“Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’
This is the first and great commandment.
And the second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’
On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.” (Matt.22:37-40)
So, these Ten Commandments can be obeyed when you and I Love God Supremely and Then we will Love others the way God loves you and I!
Warrior at your side,
Jesus and Billy
