Good Morning Warrior!
Word for the Day:
“More Than Enough”
Text: Exodus 36:5
“and they spoke to Moses, saying, “The people bring much more than enough for the service of the work which the LORD commanded us to do.”
“More Than Enough,” is on our menu for Breakfast this morning.
God’s Pattern of Giving is “More Than Enough!”
He Gave Himself on the Cross for you and I, to pay for our sin, to pray for us continually, and to lead you and I home safely to Heaven. He Is The God Of More Than Enough!
The key to this extravagant giving is Love, Agape Love; that Loves others more than themself. That’s the Love of God for you and I.
This Love captured us when we “Gave ourself to God.”
Paul used the affliction and deep poverty of the Macedonian Churches to show extravagant giving; motivated by their Love for God:
“For I bear witness that according to their ability, yes, and beyond their ability, they were freely willing,
imploring us with much urgency that we would receive the gift and the fellowship of the ministering to the saints.
And not only as we had hoped, but they first gave themselves to the Lord, and then to us by the will of God.” (2Corin. 8:3-5).
We Give To The Focus Of Our Love.
The Macedonian believers First gave to God and then to God’s Work by the Will of God.
Jesus First gave Himself to the Father and then He gave Himself to God’s Work of the Redemption of Mankind!
This is what the Warrior does. We first Give ourself to God; loving God Supremely!
Then we Give ourself to God’s Work in our life and the lives of others; by loving others with the same love that God loves us with, Agape Love (John 15:12)
We learn “More than enough Giving,” from our Commander, from the Macedonian believers, from the widow woman, (Mark 12:43-44), from the Philippians (Phil.4:14-19), and from the woman’s anointing of Jesus (Matt.26:7). These all, Gave themselves First to God and then Gave themselves to His Work - Then They Gave More Than Enough! Oooooh Rah!
Warrior at your side,
