Good Morning Warrior!
Word for the Day:
“My Daily Offering”
Text: Num. 28:2
“Command the children of Israel, and say to them, ‘My offering, My food for My offerings made by fire as a sweet aroma to Me, you shall be careful to offer to Me at their appointed time.’
Our Daily Offering is on the menu for Breakfast this morning. The Daily Offering for Israel was a picture of the Offering of Jesus Christ for mankind, once and for all. The offering was composed of three offerings: the offering of the flesh, the grain offering, and the drink offering - symbolizing the Lord’s Supper: the Flesh of Jesus, the Grain offering of the Bread, and the Drink offering of the cup, and blood of Jesus.
This Daily Offering was to be done EVERY DAY At the Appointed Time; Morning and Evening, (v.4).
For you and I today, this Daily Offering is a Living Sacrifice: “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service,” (Rom.12:1).
The Warrior presents their Body, Soul, and Spirit to their Commander Jesus Christ Every Day, At the Appointed Time - Morning and Evening. At the Beginning of each day for Breakfast with Him - and at the end of each day for Dinner with Him.
When we do this we follow His Pattern and Model as Son of Man; He Gave Himself to you and I as a Living Sacrifice and a Living Hope. So we are expected to do likewise, this “is our reasonable service.”
Notice how God said, “My Offering and My Food ;” the offering we bring ‘is owned by God’ before we even bring it to Him. Your Commander “Owns You, Warrior!” As Owner, He deserves your Daily Offering.
After our Daily Breakfast with our Commander we are now prepared to meet the Day He has made for us. The unknown that lies before us is met with Confidence that God and I are meeting this unknown TOGETHER! Aaaah, what is ‘unknown’ by me, is Known by My Commander! Oooh Rah!
My Dinner with My Commander is waiting for me at the end of each day; where we will wrap up the day’s activities with “Lessons Learned.” These are My Daily Offerings to my Commander. Ooooh Rah!
Warrior at your side,
