Good Morning Warrior!
Hallelujah, It’s The Lord’s Day!
Word for the Day:
“My Heart, a Sanctuary for God”
Text: Exodus 25:8
“And let them make Me a sanctuary, that I may dwell among them.”
“My Heart, a Sanctuary for God,” is on our menu for Breakfast this morning.
God wanted Israel to build a place where God’s Word would dwell among them; a place He called a Tabernacle.
The tabernacle in the wilderness was meant to be a “holy place where God’s presence would dwell. This was a shadow of the Living Temple of Jesus Christ as Son of God and Son of Man. As Warriors of God, our body is called the temple of God where He dwells:
“Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?
For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.” (1Corin.6:19-20)
The Old Testament tabernacle had three sections; an outer court, and an inner court with two sections, the Holy Place and the Most Holy Place. The outer court is where everyone could come and worship God.
The inner court had the Holy Place, calked the Sanctuary, where only the priests could come and minister to God; and the Most Holy Place where only the high priest could come and minister directly to God.
Under the New Covenant with Jesus, Warriors also have an outer court of the flesh that touches the world we live in.
You and I have an inner court where our soul does does the priestly work of daily service to God; prayer, praise, worship, and working together with Holy Spirit.
It’s here in our Sanctuary that you and I are renewed and refreshed in our Commander and King!
“Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day.”(2Corin.4:16).
Our spirit lives in the Most Holy Place because it is born from God, and has continual access to Him. Our spirit is the Most Holy Place in our body!
“That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.”(John 3:6).
So we see now that we are to Be a place for God’s Word and God’s Presence to Dwell. Considering this How Then Should We Live?
God will help us prepare our heart to Be a Sanctuary for God, set apart for Him alone! Oooooh Rah!
“Lord prepare me, To be a sanctuary,
Pure and holy, Tried and True.
With thanksgiving, I’ll be a living
Sanctuary, for You…”
Warrior at your side,
Jesus and Billy
