Good Morning Marine!
Word for the Day:
(Deuteronomy 9:1 - 10:11)
“My Weakness, God’s Strength, and Our Victory”
Text: Deuteronomy 9:3
“Therefore understand today that the LORD your God is He who goes over before you as a consuming fire. He will destroy them and bring them down before you; so you shall drive them out and destroy them quickly, as the LORD has said to you.”
Remembering “My Weakness, God’s Strength, and Our Victory,” is on our menu for Breakfast this morning.
Unless you and I remember our weakness and God’s strength there will be no victory over sin in our life.
Moses is reminding Israel of their weakness and rebellion that kept victory away from them for 40 years in the wilderness - and he also reminded them of God’s awesome love, care, and correction that kept alive for this day! He said:
“You are to cross over Jordan this day and dispossess nations mightier than you!” (v.1). The only way they could do this was to Remember their weakness and depend only upon God’s Awesome Strength to fight for them, as He had fought for them before; and this would assure total and complete Victory, the total destruction of the enemies of God.
God’s recipe for Victory over sin was admitting our weakness (confession and repentance) receiving His Strength (forgiveness and restoration) and together with our Commander Jesus Christ leading us and our Helper Holy Spirit working God’s Power in us we gain our victory over sin in our life.(2Corin.3:18; Phil.2:12-13). Oh Hallelujah!
Our Weakness surrendered to God’s Strength wins our Victory over sin every time! Ooooh Rah!
“Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place.”(2Corin.2:14)
