Good Morning Warrior!
Word for the Day:
“Trust The Process of God”
Text: Num. 32:5
“Therefore they said, “If we have found favor in your sight, let this land be given to your servants as a possession. Do not take us over the Jordan.”
“Trust the Process of God,” is on the menu for Breakfast this morning. The natural tendency of people is not to Trust The Process of God. Man’s tendency is to Trust the Process of Man’s reasoning in this world; what they learn from this world. They grow up as a baby, toddler, teenager, young adult - go to school learn a skill, trade, career; we have this tendency to Trust in The Process of Man’s reasoning in this world. The problem with this is that it’s a “broken process,” because it’s based on “broken people” in a “broken world.” It can only produce chaos and suffering for all of us. For many of us, our life before we met Christ testifies of this.
The Process of God is called Transformation, (Rom.12:1-2), and it’s a Perfect Process, that’s been tested and proven resilient throughout all the history of mankind. People walking in obedience with God become like God; desiring what He desires, and doing what He wants to do, (Phil.2:12-13). That’s the Process of Transformation.
In our text this morning, Israel is preparing to enter their Promised Land of Canaan; but Ruben, Gad, and half of Manasseh have chosen to Trust in The Process of Man. They don’t desire what God desires for them, “their Promised Land.” They said, in effect, what their rebellious fathers had said “Do not take us over Jordan.” We like it here in this land, like we did in Egypt. It’s a good place for us and our livestock, and our comfortable way of living....
Tragically, this divided the people of God. Even though they went with the other tribes to fight the Canaanites - their heart was with their families and livestock on the other side of Jordan. They were ‘double-minded.’ And this weakened the hearts of the other tribes in battle.
The Warrior’s eyes and heart is on their Commander and King. We meet with Him for Breakfast Lunch and Dinner each day, and walk with Him throughout the day. We’ve learned to Trust The Process of God. We’re experiencing His work of Transformation in our life every day; as He changes our attitudes, thoughts, behavior, and actions more into His likeness (2Corin.3:18). When the storms of life come crashing down upon us - We Trust The Process of God’s Transformation to make us more like Him through the Storm. When things don’t go our way - we Trust The Process of God to make us Better not Bitter. When our plans and routine are interrupted - we Trust The Process of God to show us Creative Ways to adjust and adapt to this interruption. Wow! God must have a Better Plan than I have and a Better Routine than I have had. Let’s take a lesson from this season of life today as our plans and routine have been interrupted - God has a message for us: Trust In The Process of God; He’s Making You More Like Himself! Oooh Rah!
