Good Morning Warrior!
Word for the Day:
“Numbered By God”
Text: Numbers 1:2-3
“Take a census of all the congregation of the children of Israel, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of names,
every male individually, from twenty years old and above—all who are able to go to war in Israel. You and Aaron shall number them by their armies.”
“Numbered By God,” is on our menu for Breakfast this morning.
Numbering is a sign of Ownership. In this case God is numbering all the males from 20 years old and above who are able to go to war; because battles are ahead of them in this wilderness journey.
Today Our Commander and King is our Good Shepherd who numbers you and I as His lambs and sheep. Our Good Shepherd Jesus tells us today:
“But he who enters by the door is the shepherd of the sheep.
To him the doorkeeper opens, and the sheep hear his voice; and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out.
And when he brings out his own sheep, he goes before them; and the sheep follow him, for they know his voice.
Yet they will by no means follow a stranger, but will flee from him, for they do not know the voice of strangers.” (John 10:2-5)
He owns you and I, knows you and I by name, cares for each one of us, and has given His Life for you and I. Jesus continues to say to you and I:
“My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.
And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand.
My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand.
I and My Father are one.” (John 10:27-30).
Please hear your Commander and Good Shepherd my fellow Warrior: “you are Mine and no one is able to snatch you out of My hand!”
You are Numbered By God! Ooooh Rah!
Warrior at your side,
Jesus and Billy
