Good Morning Warrior!
It’s The Lord’s Day, Hallelujah!
Word for the Day:
“Obedience Breaks the Curse!”
Text: Deuteronomy 28:45
“Moreover all these curses shall come upon you and pursue and overtake you, until you are destroyed, because you did not obey the voice of the LORD your God, to keep His commandments and His statutes which He commanded you.”
“Obedience Breaks the Curse” is on our menu for Breakfast this morning.
The deep tragedy of Israel’s persistent stubbornness of lawlessness is that “at any time” during these progressive curses, they could have “broken the curse with Obedience!” They had the power to Break the Curse from Disobedience with their Obedience of Confession and Repentance.
With Obedience Comes the Blessing of the first 14 verses of this chapter.
The Obedience of Jesus Broke the Curse of sin forever:
“For by one offering He has perfected forever those who are being sanctified.”(Heb.10:14).
Our Obedience to Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior Breaks the Curse of sin in our Life!
Sin shall not reign in our life Any More! Ooooh Rah!
“Likewise you also, reckon yourselves to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in its lusts.
And do not present your members as instruments of unrighteousness to sin, but present yourselves to God as being alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God.
For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace.”(Rom.6:11-14).
The Bible does not say you and I will never sin again; It says that sin will not “reign” or “have dominion over you and I any longer. We have our Helper Holy Spirit to convict us of sin (John 16:13) and the “Goodness of God’s Love to lead us to confession and repentance” (Rom.2:4).
Aaaah yes, as the Warrior pursues their Commander and King, their Helper Holy Spirit is working in their heart both to Will and Empower them to Obey The Truth of God’s Word. (Phil.2:13).
The Warrior purifies their soul by Obeying The Truth of God’s Word. (1Pet.1:22)
Our Obedience To God Breaks The Curse of Disobedience and Brings the Blessing of intimate fellowship with our Commander, King, and Ultimate Hero! Oooooh Rah!
Stay The Course of Obedience To Your Commander; and: “Take heed to yourself and to the doctrine. Contact nue n them, for in doing this you will save both yourself and those who hear you” (1Tim.4:16).
Warrior at your side,
